Glen Cauffman: I have directed the Penn State Department of Farm Operations and Services for 23 years. This unit has the responsibility of closing the loop by producing the feed for livestock research and utilizing the nutrients of animal waste by growing crops. I've been instrumental in forming relationships between agricultural industries and Penn State to showcase the use of biomass derived alternative fuels. I've been a champion of farmer-grown fuels and green lubricants and have been recognized for these efforts throughout Pennsylvania and globally. I've initiated the University’s use of biodiesel and coordinated the conversion of the University to Bio-hydraulic Fluids. My major areas of responsibility include University land stewardship, Ag Arena management and providing a diverse array of services to the College and the University. A lifelong farmer of broad livestock experience, I own and operate a corn, soybean, alfalfa hay farm with a herd of angora goats in Perry County PA. I have a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science and a Master’s Degree in Ag Systems Management from Penn State.
